State Government strengthens anti-Naxal operations and promotes investment opportunities;

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Wednesday said that more than 325 Naxalites have been killed in the state in the last one and a half months and more than 2,000 have either been arrested or have surrendered.
Chief Minister Sai was here for a meeting of investors. He claimed, "An image has been created that the whole of Chhattisgarh is Naxal-ridden, which is not true. A small area of Chhattisgarh, which is Bastar, is suffering from the problem of Naxalism and the rest of the state is free from this problem."
Sai told reporters, "Our one-year-old government and our security forces are fighting bravely against the Naxal problem and we believe that in just one and a half months, more than 325 Naxalites have been killed and more than 2,000 Naxalites have either been arrested or have surrendered."
He said, "We are confident that the Naxal problem will be eradicated soon."
The Chief Minister said that the state has prepared a favorable rehabilitation package for those who surrender. He said that apart from this, a scheme named 'Aapka Sundar Gaon' has also been started in Naxal-affected areas, under which about 38 security camps have been opened there. Sai said that the benefit of this scheme is being given to more than 100 villages. He also said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has resolved to end the Naxal problem by March 31, 2026.
