India sends 15 tons of relief material to Myanmar after devastating earthquake
IAF C-130J aircraft delivers essential aid as Myanmar and Thailand reel from powerful tremors;

Myanmar has suffered heavy losses due to the powerful earthquake on Friday. In such a situation, India sent 15 tons of relief material to Myanmar for assistance. Sources said relief material was sent to Myanmar by boarding the Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130J aircraft from Hindon, the Indian Air Force station in Hindon. According to sources, the relief package includes tents, sleeping bags, blankets, ready-to-eat food, water purifiers, hygiene kits, solar lamps, generator sets and essential items like paracetamol, antibiotics, syringes, gloves and bandages.
Let us tell you that many tremors of earthquakes were felt in Myanmar. This has caused a lot of damage not only in Myanmar but also in Thailand. At the same time, there is an atmosphere of panic among the people after the earthquake. On one hand, while many tremors of earthquakes were felt in Myanmar throughout the day, an earthquake of 4.2 magnitude was also recorded at 11:56 pm. According to the National Center for Seismology, the depth of this earthquake was 10 kilometers, making it susceptible to aftershocks. Its center was near the Myanmar city of Mandalay.
Earlier in the day, several earthquakes were felt in Myanmar, including a major earthquake of 7.7 on the Richter scale. A few minutes later, earthquakes of 6.4 and then 4.9 magnitude were also recorded. This earthquake occurred at 11:50 am on Friday (local time). This powerful earthquake was felt in many parts of Bangkok and Thailand. According to eyewitness reports and local media, hundreds of people came out of shaking buildings in Bangkok. Many posts on social media showed water coming out of swimming pools due to the intensity of the earthquake.
Earlier, in a post, PM Modi expressed concern over the situation arising due to the massive earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand on Friday. PM Modi said that in this hour, India is ready to provide all possible assistance to both countries. In a post on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi said, "Concerned by the situation in the wake of the Earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. Praying for the safety and wellbeing of everyone. India stands ready to offer all possible assistance. In this regard, asked our authorities to be on standby. Also asked the MEA to remain in touch with the Governments of Myanmar and Thailand."
