Rajdhani Reservoir to be Developed as Eco-Tourism and Conservation Hub
Bihar Government Approves ₹7.5 Crore Project for Beautification, Biodiversity Protection, and Green Zone Development;

The plan to develop the Rajdhani reservoir as an eco-tourism and conservation site has got the green signal. Vandana Preyashi, Secretary, Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, said that the wait is over. There were continuous efforts to beautify it for a long time and now a plan of about Rs 7 to 7.5 crore has been approved for this. Under this project, emphasis will be laid on beautification of the reservoir, biodiversity conservation and development as an environmental-sensitive zone.
Interpretation center will also be built
The main objective of this project is to create a safe environment for migratory and local birds. This will increase their numbers. Apart from this, an interpretation center will also be built for tourists, where they will be able to get detailed information about local and migratory birds.
Special focus on developing green zones
The Bihar government is paying special attention to developing green zones in the entire state. New parks and green zones are also being developed in other districts including Nawada and Sitamarhi. Along with this, many schemes are also being run for the conservation of wetlands. These efforts will not only keep the environment balanced but will also promote eco-tourism. As another important step towards environmental conservation, parks and green zones are being constructed on the lines of artificial lungs. These will help in improving the air quality and controlling pollution. This will maintain clean and pure air in the area, which will be beneficial for both the environment and health.
Valmiki Tiger Reserve will also get a new direction
In this initiative of environmental conservation, a plan has also been approved for the development of Valmiki Tiger Reserve. This will promote wildlife conservation and tourism there. In the coming time, this area will become a major center of attraction for bird lovers, nature lovers and tourists. This will not only conserve biodiversity but will also increase local tourism and employment opportunities
