Bihar Government’s Pre-Exam Training Centers to Benefit 2,400 SC-ST Candidates

This year, 2 thousand 400 candidates of SC-ST community will benefit from the Pre Exam Training Centers. By taking advantage of this training (coaching), these candidates can get success in various government jobs.

10 thousand 764 students have benefited

Training is given for various competitive examinations at these centers. So far 10 thousand 764 students have benefited under this scheme. The plan made by the government for this year has also been announced in this year's budget. It is worth noting that the government helps the candidates coming from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe community in preparing for competitive examinations. So far in the financial year 2024-25, a total of 1168 candidates have been enrolled in these centers. The students getting training here have achieved great success in various competitive examinations like Teacher Recruitment Examination, SSC, Railway, Bihar Police. From the year 2023 till now, 149 students have achieved success in various competitive examinations. Pre-examination training centers are running in 10 districts

The Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department of Bihar Government provides this training. Currently, under the Pre-examination Training Center, one pre-examination training center is being run under the aegis of universities in 10 districts for the students of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe for UPSC, Bihar Public Service Commission and other competitive examinations. The purpose behind this is to increase the representation of the youth of these classes in government jobs and to uplift them educationally. These centers are in Patna, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Bhojpur, Muzaffarpur, Saran, Saharsa, Purnia and Munger.

Scholarship of Rs. 1500 to Rs. 3000 is given

In these centers, selected students are provided free training through experts to achieve success in competitive examinations. Local students receiving training are also given a scholarship of Rs. 1500 per month and students from outside the district are given a scholarship of Rs. 3000 per month. Along with this, a Student Guidance Center is also being run for the students of this community at Chandragupt Management Institute, Patna, sponsored by the state government. In this center, every year 60 students are given coaching for the preparation of Common Admission Test (CAT) etc.
