With the green signal given to the Patna-Ara-Sasaram 4 lane Greenfield and Brown Field project in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's resolve to build a modern and prosperous Bihar has been strengthened. Its construction is going to start soon.

This road will be 110 km long between Patna and Sasaram, the construction of which will cost about Rs 3,712 crore. With the completion of this project, Jayaprakash Narayan Airport in Patna and the airport in Bihta will be directly connected by a 4 lane road. Along with this, the four major railway stations of South Bihar, Sasaram, Ara, Danapur and Patna will also be connected to each other. Other cities will also be directly connected to the inland water terminal located at Gayaghat in Patna. This will make it very easy to send goods from one place to another by water route. With the connection of this new four lane road to the ring road of Patna, the movement of people and goods from the capital Patna to other cities will become very easy.

This new road to be built between Patna-Ara-Sasaram will make the movement between Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi and Varanasi very easy. There will be facility to travel from one city to another in less time. This will lead to rapid economic development of this entire area. This road being built under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Yojana of the Central Government will connect the densely populated cities and provide better traffic facilities between them. This project is expected to generate about 48 lakh man-days of employment. This will lead to proper development of infrastructure in Patna and surrounding areas as well as many employment opportunities in the state. The path of progress in the socio-economic sector will also be paved in the state.

This project will connect many important and large transport corridors. Their interconnection will develop a large network for carrying goods or goods, on which goods can be easily brought and taken from one city to another without any problem in a short time. In this, NH-19, NH-319, NH-922, NH 131G and NH-130 will be mainly connected. Road connectivity between Aurangabad, Kaimur and Patna will also become better.

Currently, road connectivity between Sasaram, Ara and Patna is due to State Highway (SH) number 2, 12, 81 and 102. In this, Ara city has to face the problem of severe traffic jam. Due to this, vehicles take at least 3 to 4 hours extra to cross this city. Under this new Greenfield scheme, there is a plan to build a new highway of 10.6 km in the existing road, which will go out of the city and will completely get rid of the problem of traffic jam. Along with this, it will also give an option to easily get out of the densely populated areas of Ara, Grahini, Piro, Bikramganj, Mokar and Sasaram. Apart from the dense population of these areas, this new four-lane road will give people a better option of traffic jam-free. The distance between these cities can be covered in less time.
