The scorching heatwave has begun to affect several states, including the national capital Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi reached 37.1°C, which was 1.1°C above normal.

The minimum temperature is likely to be around 18 degrees Celsius. There will not be much change in the temperature on Thursday (March 27) and it can go up to 40 degrees. The heat can increase discomfort during the day, while the weather will remain dry due to low humidity in the air.

The temperature in western UP (Meerut, Baghpat, Saharanpur) can go up to 36-38 degrees Celsius, while in eastern UP it will be between 35-37 degrees. The minimum temperature can be recorded between 19-23 degrees. There may be light clouds in some areas, but the feeling of heat will remain throughout the day.

Temperature is also increasing in Haryana. The maximum temperature will likely be 36-38 degrees Celsius and the minimum 20-22 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday. Hot and dry winds may blow in areas like Hisar, Rohtak, and Gurugram, which may affect the air quality in some places.

Severe heat continues in Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh. The maximum temperature in these cities can go up to 37-39 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 22-24 degrees. The sky will be clear, but strong sunlight and increasing heat can trouble people. There is no possibility of rain for the next two days.
