Congress Announces First List of Candidates for Haryana Assembly Elections

Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Chiranjiv Rao, and Vinesh Phogat Among Key Candidates; Most Sitting MLAs Retain Tickets

Congress has released the first list of party candidates for the Haryana assembly elections. This list contains the names of 31 candidates. Former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda will contest from his traditional seat Gadi Sampla Kiloi, he is currently an MLA from there.

Congress has announced the names of 31 candidates for the assembly elections to be held in Haryana. These include former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda, who has been made a candidate from Gadi Sampla Kilol. 

Congress has also given the ticket to Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Yadav's son-in-law Chiranjiv Rao. Vinesh Phogat from Julana, Uday Bhan, the PCC chief from Hodal and state president Uday Bhan have also been given tickets.

Congress has also given ticket to jailed Sonipat MLA Surendra Pawar. Badli MLA has been given ticket again. Could not cut the tickets of MLAs. In this list, most of the MLAs have been made candidates again. The party has also given ticket to Rao Dan Singh. He lost the Bhiwani Mahendragarh seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, although he is the sitting MLA.
