Bihar Announces Results for OBC Girls Residential School Entrance Exam 2025-26
4,196 students qualify for 2,983 seats; counseling begins March 21, with academic session set to start from April 1.;

The Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Bihar has declared the results of the entrance examination conducted for the academic session 2025-26 in 39 Other Backward Classes Girls Residential +2 High Schools of the state. A total of 5043 girl students appeared in this examination held on March 9, 2025 against a total of 2983 vacancies.
Out of these girl students, 4196 have been successful, while 846 girl students could not qualify. The counseling process for the successful girl students will start from March 21, 2025. During the counseling, it is mandatory for the girl students to appear with their original certificates.
The Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Bihar is determined to provide quality education to the girls of the state. At present, a total of 39 OBC Girls Residential +2 High Schools with 520 seating capacity are being run by the department in all the districts, where facilities like free education, accommodation and food are provided to the girls.
This entrance examination was conducted free of cost and the academic session is likely to start from April 1, 2025. The department wishes a bright future to all the successful girl students.
