Bihar Approves ₹2088.69 Lakh for Irrigation Projects Under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan

Under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan, many important schemes have received administrative approval from the Minor Water Resources Department in the financial year 2024-25. In this financial year, important Aahar-Pain schemes have been approved in 6 blocks of Patna district (Masaurhi, Punpun, Daniyawan, Khusrupur, Paliganj, Dhanarua). These schemes will cost a total of Rs 2088.69 lakh. With the completion of these schemes, irrigation facility of 4,054 hectares of agricultural land will be restored. These schemes have been targeted to be completed by June 2025. The main objective of these schemes is to promote water harvesting, increase irrigation capacity, and agricultural production in the state. The implementation of these schemes will not only benefit the farmers directly, but will also promote water conservation along with improving the groundwater level. Approval of these schemes:-

1. Masaudhi

Renovation work of Chakia Chithaul Pain Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 142.58 lakhs and irrigation capacity is 240 hectares. Renovation work of Daulatpur Bhujaur Pain Irrigation Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 168.03 lakhs and irrigation capacity is 400 hectares. Renovation work of Lahsuna Pain Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 269.51 lakhs and irrigation capacity is 507 hectares.

2. Punpun

Renovation work of Panwar Pain Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 181.34 lakhs and irrigation capacity is 388 hectares.

Renovation work of Lakhanpar Akouna Pain Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 264.24 lakhs and irrigation capacity is 464 hectares.

3. Daniyawan

Renovation work of Etwaritola Erai Pain Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 212.28 lakhs. The irrigation capacity is 383 hectares.

Renovation work of Kharmaiya Pain Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 132.98 lakhs. The irrigation capacity is 220 hectares.

4. Khusrupur

Renovation work of Chuharmal Sthan Chaura Pain Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 93.48 lakhs. The irrigation capacity is 168 hectares.

5. Paliganj

Renovation work of Dhokhara Karauti Ahar Pain Sluice Gate Scheme whose estimated cost is Rs. 337.69 lakhs. The irrigation capacity is 725 hectares.

6. Dhanrua

Renovation work of Sanda Pain Yojana whose estimated cost is Rs. 286.59 lakhs. The irrigation capacity is 559 hectares.
