Over 33,000 Beneficiaries Avail Chief Minister Medical Assistance Fund in Bihar

Thousands of needy people of Bihar are getting the benefit of Chief Minister Medical Assistance Fund. From January 2024 to February 2025, about 33 thousand 620 people have got health benefits from this Medical Assistance Fund Scheme. Its objective is to provide medical benefits to those people of Bihar, especially those suffering from incurable diseases, whose annual income is up to Rs 2.5 lakh or less, to provide help for better treatment.

Of the total applications under this scheme, about 25 to 30 percent of the applications get rejected due to minor errors. From January 2024 to February 2025, a total of 37 thousand 231 applications came, out of which 33 thousand 620 were approved. After writing an application on behalf of the concerned applicant to avail the benefits of the scheme, submit it in the name of the Director General of Health Services along with all the necessary documents. The applicant must be a citizen of Bihar. Submit these documents compulsorily.

1. Updated original estimate issued by a government/CGHS recognized hospital

2. Original copy of income certificate

3. Photocopy of Aadhar card

4. Photocopy of medical slip and investigation report
