Over 20% Absentee Rate and Biometric Detection Lead to Arrest of Fraudulent Candidate and Multiple Security Measures at Examination Centers
Today is the second day of the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination. On the first day, about 21 percent of the candidates did not appear in the examination despite downloading the admit card. According to the officials of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), 61 cheaters and candidates using unfair means have been arrested during the examination. General Knowledge (GK) questions made the examination even more challenging, which caused many candidates to face difficulties.
The written police recruitment examination was successfully conducted at 10 examination centers in the Deoria district. The documents and admit cards of the candidates were checked while entering the examination center. After the examination, the students said that the paper arrangement was good and the police officers on the road also helped. General knowledge questions were difficult in the paper, but the reasoning questions were easy. The candidates also described the Hindi questions as easy.
A shocking case has come to light in Saharanpur during the constable recruitment examination of Uttar Pradesh Police. A young man, who was dreaming of joining the police, was arrested at the examination center itself. The accused had changed his name and age to appear in the exam, but his real identity was revealed in the biometric examination. Saharanpur police arrested Dheeraj Kumar, a resident of Sedpur in Bulandshahr district of UP, from the JV Jain College examination center. The police have registered a case against the accused and sent him to jail.
According to a News 18 report, a total of 8544 candidates were to appear for the exam in Deoria, but only a little over 6000 candidates appeared for the exam. More than 2000 candidates skipped the exam due to various reasons. Despite this shortage, effective security and surveillance measures were taken at the examination center.
Police and administration officials remained fully vigilant at the examination centers. Officials also monitored the road leading to the candidates reaching the center. Tents were set up around the centers for the parents to stay and tea and water were arranged, which provided them convenience. Such arrangements have improved the overall conduct of the exam and candidates have got a better experience.
