The construction work of the double-decker flyover being built to ease traffic on the capital's busiest Ashoka Rajpath and to get rid of the problem of jam is now in its final stage. This project is being prepared at a cost of 422 crores. Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen inspected the construction works on Friday and reviewed the progress of the project. During this, other officials including Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited Chairman Shirshat Kapil were also present.

Will be inaugurated in April

The Road Construction Minister said that the construction work of this flyover will be completed this month. It will be opened to the public in the last week of April. The total length of this double-decker flyover is 2.2 km. The first level will be 1.5 km long, which will be from Patna College to BN College. While the second level will be from Kargil Chowk to Science College.

There will also be connectivity with Patna Metro

It will also be connected to Patna Metro, road on Bakarganj Nala and the proposed multi-level car parking at PMCH. Also, it will be linked to Krishna Ghat from JP Ganga Path (Patna River Front).

Students, patients and traders will benefit

This flyover will play an important role in reducing traffic pressure in Ashok Rajpath, PMCH, Patna University and Patna City area. Its biggest benefit will be to students, patients and traders, who will now get relief from traffic jams.

Double-decker flyover is being built with modern technology

This double-decker flyover is being prepared with the latest technology. The minister said that the basic construction of the project is almost complete and now the super-structure and finishing works are being completed rapidly.

There will be a historic change in the transport system

With the opening of this flyover, there will be a big change in the traffic system of Patna. Vehicles coming and going from Gandhi Maidan to Science College and Patna College to Gandhi Maidan will be controlled at different levels. Due to which the pressure of vehicles on the road will be reduced. The minister expressed confidence that this project will prove to be a boon for millions of people of the capital and will provide a modern and well-organized transport system to Patna.
