The communal harmony in the state will not be allowed to deteriorate at any cost during the four major festivals in the coming 10 days. In the coming days, the state will celebrate Eid, Chaiti Navratri, Chaiti Chhath and Ramnavami festivals. Regarding these festivals, the state police headquarters has made strong arrangements to maintain communal harmony as well as law and order across the state. Any conspiracy to hurt anyone's religious sentiments will not be tolerated. The state's Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Pankaj Kumar Darad and Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) Kundan Krishnan gave complete information related to this in a joint press conference on Friday.

The ADG said that taking lessons from the incidents of riots and violence during Ramnavami religious processions and Shobha Yatras at some places in the state last year, the police headquarters has decided to deploy a total of 12 companies of central paramilitary forces along with the state police at every nook and corner of the state, besides policemen and home guard jawans undergoing training in PTC. This includes two companies of Rapid Action Force. Also, action has been initiated against the miscreants by identifying them in all the 40 police districts of the state.

ADG Pankaj Darad said that special vigilance will be taken regarding the processions and tableaux to be taken out on the occasion of Ram Navami. Strict action will be taken against those playing DJ at a volume higher than the prescribed volume. Also, religious processions and processions will be allowed to pass only through the routes determined by the administration. The police will also keep a close watch on the songs and music played on the DJ. So that no one's religious sentiments are tampered with. During this time, arrangements have also been made to keep the traffic regular. Video recording of all religious processions and processions is being done by the police. So that anti-social elements can be monitored.

The process of calling the elements involved in the violence and disturbance during religious events in the recent past to the police station and making them sign a bond has been started. Instructions have already been issued to the SPs of all the districts to audit the available police force to maintain peace and order during the festivals.

ADG Darad said that all the sensitive places in the state have been identified, where attempts were made to disturb communal harmony and peace during the festivals in the past. Along with the magistrate, DSP level officers and Central Rapid Action Force are being deployed at all those sensitive places. Central Quick Response Team will also be deployed here. Which will be equipped with all kinds of anti-riot equipment like helmets, body protectors, tear gas shells and ultra-modern weapons. He also mentioned some such districts of the state where incidents of violence were reported during Ram Navami last year. These include Gaya, Nalanda, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Munger, Khagaria, Rohtas etc. This year special vigilance arrangements have been made in all these districts.

Pankaj Darad said that on the occasion of Eid, people will be allowed to offer namaz only on those roads where the administration will allow. For this, it will be mandatory for people to take permission from the district administration. Darad said that the state's DGP Vinay Kumar held a meeting with the Superintendents of Police of all the districts of the state and directed to set up a control room in every district. Where fire vehicles, ambulances and officers and employees of the electricity department will be deployed round the clock. Along with this, all the police stations have also been instructed to remain on continuous patrol.
