Bihar Govt to Establish Sufi Circuit, Boosting Cultural Tourism and Religious Harmony
A Historic Initiative to Preserve Sufi Heritage, Strengthen Secularism, and Promote Spiritual Tourism in the State;

The establishment of Sufi circuit in the state by the Bihar government is being seen as a historic step. The Sufi tradition, which is considered a symbol of love, tolerance and spirituality, is now going to give a new height to Bihar's tourism. This initiative under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is being considered an important effort towards secularism and preservation of cultural heritage.
Step taken towards preserving Sufi culture
Bihar is famous for its Buddhist and Jain heritage, so now a big step is being taken towards preserving and promoting Sufi culture as well. Under this circuit, Sufi sites located in different parts of Bihar are being developed so that not only local devotees but also tourists coming from the country and abroad can be made aware of the Sufi tradition.
Sufi sites will be developed
In this regard, the state's Tourism Minister Raju Kumar Singh said that development work is being done with a proper tourist perspective by marking all the sites of Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain along with Sufi beliefs. According to the Tourism Department, these sites will be equipped with world-class facilities, including better roads, rest houses, lighting and informative signboards. Apart from this, Sufi music festivals and other cultural programs will also be organized every year, so that people get an opportunity to get acquainted with the Sufi tradition.
An example of secularism
Experts believe that this initiative will strengthen religious harmony in Bihar and promote cultural tourism. The foundation of the Sufi tradition is based on love and unity and this step of the government will further strengthen brotherhood in the society. This Sufi circuit of Bihar will not only revive the historical heritage of the state but will also strengthen the economy of the state through spirituality and tourism.
Blueprint being prepared for Punauradham
Apart from this, a blueprint is being prepared by the Tourism Department, Government of Bihar to develop Punauradham, the birthplace of Mata Sita, the wife of Lord Shri Ram, the pillar of Hinduism, as a new religious place and to build infrastructure from a tourist point of view.
