RSS: Organization for the Entire Society, Says Joint General Secretary Dr. Manmohan Vaidya
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held its annual meeting in Nagpur, discussing growth in shakhas, women's conferences, and upcoming projects like celebrating Ahilyabai Holkar's centenary.
Nagpur:Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the first Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), once stated, "The Sangh is an organization for the entire society." This principle has been evident over the past 99 years. Dr. Manmohan Vaidya, Joint General Secretary of the RSS, highlighted the expansion of Sangh work from 2017 to 2024 during a press briefing held at the Swami Dayanand Saraswati campus after the inauguration of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha.
Sunil Ambekar, National Spokesperson, and Narendra Kumar and Alok Kumar, National Joint Spokespersons, were also present.
The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha of the RSS was inaugurated by Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak, and Dattatreya Hosabale, Sarkaryawah, by offering flowers to the picture of Bharat Mata. This year, the meeting is being held at Reshim Bagh, Smriti Mandir campus, Nagpur (Maharashtra), from March 15 to 17. More than 1,500 workers from all 45 provinces are attending.
Dr. Manmohan Vaidya discussed the expansion of Sangh work, noting that there are 45 provinces, followed by departments and districts. There are a total of 73,117 daily shakhas in 27,720 mandals, with 4,466 shakhas added in the last year. About 60% of these shakhas consist of students and 40% are workers. The number of weekly meetings has increased by 840 in the last year, totaling 27,717. There are 10,567 Sangh mandalis, with 43,000 direct shakhas held in 10,000 localities.
Regarding women's coordination, 460 women's conferences were held in 44 provinces through the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, with the aim of increasing women's active participation in Indian thinking and social change.
The birth centenary year of Ahilyabai Holkar will be celebrated from May 2024 to April 2025. Work has begun on a plan to spread her contributions across India. In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Sangh volunteers will campaign for 100% voting.
The Ayodhya Ramlalla Pran-prathistha led to extensive public relations efforts by the Sangh. Through the Akshat Vitaran Abhiyan, 44,98,334 Ram devotees contacted 19,38,49,071 families, resulting in an enthusiastic response.
A new curriculum will be added to the Sangh Shiksha Varga, consisting of 3 days of Prarambhik Varga and 7 days of Prathmik Shiksha.
