MEA Inaugurates Post Office Passport Seva Kendra in Raj Nagar on Bihar Diwas
New POPSK to enhance passport services for Jhanjharpur residents, offering fresh applications, renewals, and police clearance certificates.;

Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is pleased to announce the inauguration of Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in Raj Nagar functional under Regional Passport Office, Patna, coinciding with the commemoration of Bihar Diwas. This initiative would considerably enhance passport services for residents of Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha constituency and surrounding regions.
The POPSK, 445th in India, located in the Sub Post Office in Raj Nagar, aims to provide convenient, efficient, and transparent passport services. Citizens can apply for fresh passports, renew existing ones, and avail police clearance certificate (PCC) services. 40 passport and 5 PCC appointment slots will be available in this POPSK, and applicants can avail of these services online on our website www.passportindia.gov.in. Shri Rampreet Mandal, Hon’ble MP of Jhanjharpur inaugurated the POPSK in the presence of Member of Legislative Assembly Khajauli Sh. Arun Shankar Prasad, Joint Secretary (PSP) and Chief Passport Officer in MEA Dr. K. J. Srinivasa; Regional Passport Officer, Patna Smt. Swadha Rizvi; and officials of RPO Patna; Post Master General, Eastern Region, Shri Manoj Kumar, Tata Consultancy Services Project Head and other dignitaries.
The opening of POPSK Raj Nagar demonstrates the commitment of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, to citizen-centric governance, bringing passport services closer to the people. This will significantly benefit the people of Jhanjharpur, particularly residing in remote areas, thereby exemplifying the true meaning of last mile connectivity.
