According to BJP sources, there will be a meeting of BJP MLAs on December 2, after which it will be clear who the MLAs have chosen as the leader of their party. Meanwhile, news has come that the date of the swearing-in ceremony has been decided before the face of the Chief Minister in the state becomes clear.

A senior leader of the BJP said on Saturday that the new government of the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra will be formed on December 5. However, no decision has been taken yet on who will be the Chief Minister. Eknath Shinde, Fadnavis and Pawar met BJP President J.P. Nadda and Union Minister Amit Shah late Thursday night on the agreement to form the next government in the state.

Another senior BJP leader said that the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister will be held at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai. But before that, a meeting will be held on December 2 to elect the leader of the BJP Legislature Party. In this, the MLAs will elect the leader of their party and then it will be clear who will become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Let us tell you that Shinde has made it clear that he will fully support the decision of the BJP leadership regarding the next Chief Minister and will not become an obstacle in this process. At the same time, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP has supported Fadnavis for the post of Chief Minister. It is known that Devendra Fadnavis is at the forefront of the race of candidates to become the next Chief Minister.

In the assembly elections held on November 20 in Maharashtra, the alliance Mahayuti of BJP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) retained power by winning 230 out of 288 seats. BJP emerged as the largest party by winning 132 seats, while Shiv Sena won 57 and NCP won 41 seats. The Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has suffered a major setback in the assembly elections. Congress performed its worst in the state assembly elections, winning only 16 seats. Sharad Pawar's NCP (SP) managed to win only 10 seats, while Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) won 20 seats.
