Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has successfully attracted major investment from Canada-based Nebula Group, marking a substantial milestone in the state's investment promotion efforts.
During a meeting with Nebula Group's President and Chairman, Raman Khatra, the Chief Minister expressed pride and satisfaction at the company's keen interest in investing in Punjab. The company plans to establish a food processing plant, utilizing produce from a 10,000-hectare area, and increasing the shelf life of fresh and frozen food products through ozone technology.
The Chief Minister highlighted the benefits of this partnership, including job creation for youth and tie-ups with Markfed and Punjab Agro to support farmers. Additionally, the company will employ its expertise to clean the polluted Buddah Nullah in Ludhiana using advanced technology.
Nebula Group has also agreed to set up a plant for recycling plastic waste, producing pellets from plastic bottles, and reducing plastic waste management issues. The Chief Minister emphasized the state government's commitment to boosting investment, showcasing Punjab as a preferred investment destination with a single-window system and industrial-friendly environment.
