Bihar Government Partners with CRISP to Promote Skill Development in Higher Education

Agreement Aims to Introduce Employment-Oriented Courses and Internship Opportunities for College and University Students;

Today on 18/01/25, an agreement was signed between the Department of Education, Government of Bihar and CRISP (Centre for Research in Schemes and Policies), Hyderabad to work on skill development among students in colleges and universities of Bihar state. Mr. Baidyanath Yadav, Secretary on behalf of the Department and Mr. R. Subrahmanyam (Retired IAS Officer) on behalf of CRISP signed the agreement.

The said program was presided over by the Hon'ble Education Minister Mr. Sunil Kumar. The Hon'ble Minister said that skill development courses will be started in some selected colleges now. He described skill development as very important which will play an important role in providing employment to the young generation. He said that every possible help, including financial assistance, will be provided for this work.

As a result of this agreement, internship opportunities will be provided to the students by linking them with industrial establishments/businesses and activities around the college so that education can be employment oriented.

On this occasion, Registrars, Principals, Directors, Higher Education of various universities and Mr. R. Bala Prasad was present.
