State Approves Over 10,270 Micro Food Units in 2024-25, Achieving 93% of Target as Central Ministry Praises Performance;

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, Bihar is also flying its flag in the implementation of various central schemes. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries of the Central Government has praised Bihar's excellent performance in implementing the Prime Minister's Micro Food Processing Industry Scheme. Information about this has been issued by the Additional Secretary of the Ministry, Minhaz Alam, in a letter. He has written in his letter that Bihar has done the second highest cumulative performance under the PMFME scheme in the year 2024-25 and Bihar has secured first place in the country in annual performance.
According to the data of the letter issued, in the year 2024-25, Bihar had set a target of total 11,000 units, out of which a total of 10,270 have been approved. That is, a total of 93 percent of the target has been achieved. At the same time, in the year 2023-24, out of a total target of 6,516, 10,284 units were approved. That is, 153 percent more units have been approved than the target. There has been an increase in approval and distribution compared to the financial year 2023-24 and 2024-25. A total of 23,572 proposals have been approved in the year 2024-25. The ministry has expressed hope that Bihar's excellent performance will continue in the next financial year 2025-26. Along with this, he has also appreciated the contribution of the department's secretary Bandana Preyashi, SPMU head Nikhil D. Nipanikar and field officers.
