One of the most significant decisions was to provide financial assistance to 94 million poor families who were identified in the state's recent caste census. These families will receive Rs. 2 lakh each in three installments over the next two years.
The cabinet also approved a hike in the amount of compensation paid to the families of victims of road accidents. The new amount is Rs. 5 lakh, up from Rs. 4 lakh.
In addition, the cabinet approved a new scheme to provide financial assistance to athletes who win medals at international competitions. Athletes who win gold medals will receive Rs. 1 crore, silver medalists will receive Rs. 50 lakh, and bronze medalists will receive Rs. 25 lakh.
The construction of a new solar power plant in Gaya district. The plant will have a capacity of 100 megawatts and will cost Rs. 1,200 crore.The construction of a new drain system in the Mokameh municipality area. The project will cost Rs. 40 crore.The renovation of Bihar Bhavan in New Delhi. The project will cost Rs. 120 crore.
