During Holi, dozens of clashes and incidents of rioting in the state have been controlled on time. Strict action will be taken against the criminals or miscreants involved in these incidents. Those who attacked the police team in all the incidents have been identified. Soon all the accused will be arrested and speedy trial will be conducted against the accused and they will be punished. ADG (Headquarters) Kundan Krishna said this in a press conference held at Police Headquarters Sardar Patel Bhawan on Monday. He said that there were incidents of deadly attacks on the police in Munger and Araria. But the police exercised restraint and did not fire or use any other force on the crowd, so that the common people do not get injured.

ADG Kundan Krishna said that the priority of the police is to maintain communal harmony in the state and no unpleasant incident occurs from anywhere, which affects social harmony. For this reason, the police exercise restraint on many occasions, but it is not that the police will not retaliate to any attack by criminals. If a criminal challenges the police or the police takes all kinds of retaliatory action for its self-defense. Even if it comes to firing, the police is not going to back down. The police is completely free to answer the criminals in their own language. It will only be ensured that no harm is caused to the common man. Wherever there has been a ruckus during Holi in Munger, Araria and other places, all the accused are being identified with the help of video footage and photos. After this, action will be taken against the person concerned.

11 normal incidents and two incidents of assault took place

ADG (Law and Order) Pankaj Kumar Darad, who was present on the occasion, said that 11 normal incidents took place between two different communities on the occasion of Holi. Apart from this, two incidents of assault took place between two castes, in which 26 people were injured. In this, 3 people have been detained. No serious law and order problem arose anywhere. A total of 11 cases were registered. 14 people were injured in these incidents. No one died. 29 people have been arrested so far. 4 have been detained. There were 12 incidents of attack on police, two sub-inspectors martyred

The ADG said that there were 12 incidents of attack on police. In these incidents, two sub-inspectors have been martyred and 27 policemen have been injured. The ex-gratia amount will be provided to the families of the martyred policemen soon. Also, all the facilities available to the martyred policemen will also be provided on time. The process is going on.

1.24 lakh calls came on Dial 112 in two days

During Holi, the police was doing its duty with full alertness. During this, on two days, 14 and 15 March, 1 lakh 24 thousand 39 calls came on Dial-112 i.e. ERSS (Emergency Response Support System). In 22 thousand 894 incidents, the police reached the spot and resolved it. In these two days, the average time for the police to reach the spot after receiving the call was 14 and a half minutes. On March 14, the police received 67 thousand 188 calls on dial-112 and police reached on 13 thousand 150 occasions. Whereas, on March 15, 56 thousand 851 calls were received and police reached on 9744 occasions.

Special vigilance will be maintained on Ramnavami

ADG (Headquarters) said that special vigilance will be maintained on the upcoming Ramnavami as well. Any kind of hooliganism or DJ or obscene songs or dance in the name of religion will be strictly prohibited. If any such incident comes to light, immediate action will be taken against the culprits concerned.
