Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter on the return of Indian-origin NASA astronaut Sunita Williams to Earth. After being stranded in space for about nine months, Sunita is coming to Earth on Wednesday. The letter written on March 1 was shared by Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Tuesday on X.

In the letter, PM Modi had inquired about the well-being of Sunita, who flew to the Orbital Lab on June 5 last year. PM Modi told the 59-year-old astronaut, even though you are thousands of miles away, you are close to our hearts. The people of India are praying for your good health and success in your mission. 

Prime Minister Modi has written this letter to India's daughter Sunita Williams before her return. He has written that they are thousands of miles away but still close to hearts. Union Minister Jitendra Singh tweeted, “As the whole world waits, with abated breath, for the safe return of Sunita Williams, this is how PM Narendra Modi expressed his concern for this daughter of India.”

Prime Minister Modi wrote, “1.4 billion Indians have always taken great pride in your achievements. Recent developments have yet again showcased your inspirational fortitude and perseverance.”

Prime Minister Modi also said that her mother Bonnie Pandya would be eagerly waiting for her return. Referring to her father Deepak Pandya, he said that I am sure that the blessings of late Deepakbhai are also with you.

PM Modi said, “After your return, we are looking forward to seeing you in India. It will be a pleasure for India to host one of its most illustrious daughters.” PM Modi also sent his warm wishes to her husband Michael Williams.
