‘Bapu and Beta’ Fight for Power: PM Narendra Modi Highlights Congress's Instability in Haryana
PM Modi addresses internal strife within the Congress party as he campaigns for BJP, highlighting their commitment to development and unity in Haryana.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that due to factionalism in the Congress, stability is a distant dream for it. Everyone in the party is "fighting" to become the chief minister in Haryana and "Bapu and Beta" are also contenders. Addressing an election rally here, he recalled the days when he worked for the BJP party organisation in Haryana. He said, "It is my good fortune that Haryana has given me a lot, taught me a lot."
The "Bapu and Beta", which the Prime Minister mentioned in his speech are former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his son Deepender Hooda.
PM Modi said, "Bapu (Bhupinder Hooda) is also a contender and son (Deepender) is also a contender. And both of them together are busy dealing with others. And seeing all this, the aware citizens of Haryana have started dealing with Congress." He also said that some people served the royal family of Delhi with body, mind and money and now they are asking what mistake they made.
PM Modi said that the mothers and sisters of Haryana have given the slogan "Mhara Haryana-Non-Stop Haryana" and the development of Haryana should continue without stopping, so people have made up their minds to give BJP a chance for the third time. He said that only one voice is being heard from everywhere - "Bharosa Dil Se, BJP Phir Se."
PM Modi said that as the polling day is coming closer, Congress leaders have started saying that they will have to face a Madhya Pradesh-like situation in Haryana as well. He said that Congress resorted to lies in the elections of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, but their balloon of lies burst and the same is going to happen in Haryana as well.
PM Modi said that Congress is facing this fate because it is a deceptive and dishonest party in the country. He said, "Look at Himachal Pradesh in the neighborhood, what they have done." He said, "You can't even imagine what all lies they told during the elections and after coming to power, they are running away from their promises."
The Prime Minister said that people are now asking Congress, "What happened to your promise." Congress is asking people, "Who are you?" He attacked the Gandhi family, "The royal family of Delhi trapped the people of Himachal in their lies." Today, they do not have the budget to pay salaries and DA (dearness allowance) to Himachal employees.''
He said that wherever there is Congress, there cannot be stability. Targeting factionalism in Congress in Haryana, Modi said, "The party which cannot bring unity among its leaders, how will it bring stability in the state." He said, "You are seeing that here (in Haryana) people in Congress are fighting among themselves to become the Chief Minister."
PM Modi said, "Here every faction of Congress is trying to defeat each other on every seat. Amidst this factionalism, the doors of Congress are closed for Dalits and backward classes. Congress knows that Dalits do not vote for it, that is why it hates the entire Dalit community."
He said, "You see for yourself that during the rule of Congress, atrocities were committed on Dalits in Gohana, Mirchpur incident happened, atrocities and injustice were done to Dalit daughters, but Congress remained silent."
