A grand celebration for NSS Day was organized in the college auditorium by Mata Sundri College for Women, Delhi University, with the theme of Gratitude. Chief Guest Sanjay Sain IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central District), Delhi Police, emphasized the significance of the "Jai Hind" initiative, which represents the spirit under which the girl students of the National Service Scheme Unit work in the nation's interest. He commended the volunteers for their teaching efforts at Than Singh ki Pathshala, a school run by Delhi Police's Head Constable, stating that contributing to education is genuine service to the nation and true worship of God. He commended the school as a positive initiative.

Renowned fashion designer and founder of Sangini Saheli, Priyal Bhardwaj, also shared her positive experiences of collaborating with Parivartan, the NSS unit, on various projects. Notably, she has been a strong supporter of the NSS unit for the past 3 years.

Program Officer Indu Kumari highlighted the successful implementation of various projects by the Unit, emphasizing their continuous focus on social welfare. They have initiated numerous projects to address diverse community needs. "Happy Heart" aims to raise awareness about mental health and well-being. "Khushiyon Ka Recycle" is another project focusing on donation campaigns, whether it involves food or book donations. The "Sanrakshan" project centers on animal rights and welfare. The "Umeedon Ki Udaan" project involves regular visits to special schools, spending time with attending children. The "Apni Basti" project strives to improve sanitation, hygiene, and living standards for people living near T5 Parking in the Red Fort slum area. This involves elevating the standard of living for children by providing essential resources such as education and healthcare. A new project called "Kritagya" was also launched, focusing on health awareness. It aims to provide information and systems for better health facilities to the people. Volunteers are eager to 'connect,' 'spread awareness,' and 'provide for others.' They have now established "Gratitude" to broaden their perspective and assist others in this area. From a literary standpoint, "Kritagya" means being thankful or grateful, expressing gratitude for good health and increased awareness of health and well-being issues. They are appreciative of the opportunity they have to raise awareness and provide assistance. Their recent programs include flood relief donations, food donations, and emergency preparedness sessions.

On this occasion, students from Than Singh Ki Pathshala (a school started by Than Singh for needy children) presented a street play at the event and also delivered a spectacular dance performance alongside NSS volunteers.
