One of the things that went public on the show was that the role of Kiara in her Netflix project 'Lust Stories' was earlier offered to Kriti Sanon. During a recent episode of Koffee with Karan Season 7, Karan Johar revealed that Kiara Advani was not the first choice for Lust Stories, which he directed. He revealed that it was Kriti Sanon who was first offered the character of Kiara Megha. Apparently, the actress turned down the offer because her mother wouldn't let her. He said, "Kriti Sanon declined my offer after saying her mother would not allow it. So I thought everyone's mom would stand in line and not allow her daughters. I feel like it's actually a very empowering story. It's about a woman's right to pleasure." So I met Kiara in Manish Malhotra's home, and I just saw her. Of course, I knew her back then as Alia Advani, he added. So I met her and asked if you can come tomorrow and meet me, it's for a short film. She came and heard it and then she was a little confused. She said, are you directing it? I said yes. Then she said yes! I'm working on it!" Kiara then admitted that she did the film because Karan was directing it. She confessed that working with Karan Johar was the key incentive for her decision to join the film.
