Post-Mortem Report Reveals Anil Kuldeep Mehta Died from Multiple Fractures After Falling from Sixth-Floor Balcony

Bollywood actress Malaika Arora's father Anil Kuldeep Mehta died by suicide on Wednesday. According to sources, the post-mortem report revealed that Mehta died due to multiple fractures sustained while falling from the sixth-floor balcony of his house.

According to Mumbai Police, the incident took place at "Ayesha Manor" in the posh Almeida Park area of Bandra around 9 am on Wednesday. Anil Mehta, 65, allegedly jumped from the building's balcony, resulting in severe fractures in his right leg and other parts of the body. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Mehta was declared dead on arrival.

Before committing suicide, Mehta made one last call to his daughters, Malaika and Amrita Arora. During this call, he reportedly told them, 'I am sick and tired.' He committed suicide after abruptly disconnecting and switching off the phone.

Malaika Arora, her mother Joyce Polycarp and her sister Amrita expressed their deep shock and grief. The family described Mehta as a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather and a loving husband, asking for privacy in their time of grief. The Mumbai Police has begun an investigation into the incident. He said, 'The police will investigate the incident from every angle and take the legal process forward. Whatever standard operating procedure (SOP) is followed in the investigation; we are doing that.'

Officers have already recorded statements from close family and people living in the building. A forensic team has examined the spot, including reviewing video recordings and CCTV footage of the premises. The police also plan to record statements of Mehta's doctor and any other concerned person to gather information about his mental and physical condition before the incident.
