Assembly elections are to be held in Maharashtra in November this year. Before that, the Sharad Pawar faction once again knocked on the door of the Supreme Court. They have filed a new petition in the court. They have demanded to stop Ajit Pawar faction from using the 'clock' election symbol in the upcoming assembly elections. Sharad Pawar faction has said in its petition that a new symbol should be allotted to the Ajit Pawar faction for the assembly elections.

Sharad Pawar faction has said that during the Lok Sabha elections, the Ajit Pawar faction contested on the 'clock' symbol, which created confusion among the voters and made it difficult for them to understand who the real NCP is. Sharad Pawar faction says that until the Supreme Court decides on its petition filed against the Election Commission's decision on the symbol matter, a new symbol should be allotted to the Ajit Pawar faction. The Supreme Court will hear this petition on October 15.

NCP (SP) to present a charge sheet against the Mahayuti government

Earlier, the Sharad Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party on Wednesday presented a chargesheet against the Mahayuti government, highlighting the exodus of industries from the state and the collapse of law and order. The Sharad Pawar-led party launched a campaign focusing on 10 important areas including Maharashtra's economic decline, exodus of industries and women's safety. Led by Lok Sabha member Supriya Sule and party's Maharashtra unit chief Jayant Patil, party leaders marched from Mahatma Gandhi's statue near the Mantralay to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's statue and later marched on foot to Hutatma Chowk in south Mumbai.

'Hakka Magtoy Maharashtra' campaign started

Jayant Patil said, "We are launching the 'Hakka Magtoy Maharashtra' (Maharashtra demanding rights) campaign across the state. We are united to prepare a chargesheet against the Maharashtra government." The campaign will use audio-visual media, including advertisements on various media and a new song. He said the first advertisement focused on rising unemployment and shifting of major projects to Gujarat. "In the past 10 years, the BJP and its two allies (Ajit Pawar-led NCP and Shiv Sena) have weakened the ideology of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Jyotiba Shahu, Jyotiba Phule and B R Ambedkar," Patil alleged. Alleging an agrarian crisis, Patil claimed farmers were upset because they wanted fair prices for soybeans, onions and oranges.
