During the visit, PM Modi inaugurated the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 at Namo Ghat, reinforcing the spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.' The event witnessed the launch of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express, connecting Varanasi and Kanniyakumari, fostering cultural ties.
Addressing the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Cutting Memorial School, Modi stressed achieving 100% coverage of government schemes. Expressing confidence in the Viksit Bharat initiative, he affirmed its non-political nature, urging direct public participation.
Highlighting the success of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Modi stated, "The day a poor family gets a gas cylinder stove, the difference between rich and poor diminishes. Living in a pucca house instills confidence in their children, transforming lives."
Inaugurating the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Modi credited ancient philosophers for shaping India's identity. He launched multi-language and braille translations of classic Tamil literature, emphasizing the event's significance in promoting cultural exchange.
Acknowledging the joint effort by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and IIT to support Varanasi students in Science and Mathematics, Modi praised the emotional bond between Kashi and Tamil Nadu. Reflecting on India's diversity, he underscored the nation's spiritual foundation.
Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Modi interacted with beneficiaries, visited stalls, and participated in a quiz event. Tomorrow, he will inaugurate projects spanning roads, bridges, health, education, and urban development, furthering the vision of a developed India.
