District Administration and Municipal Corporation Take Action to Remove Illegal Encroachments

Delhi Desk: The district administration and municipal corporation took action against encroachers in the Balconagar area of Korba district, demolishing illegal establishments with bulldozers. These encroachments were on land owned by Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), an aluminium producing company operational in Chhattisgarh State. 

It was noted that the company issued multiple notices and directives for removal to these encroachers, yet the encroachers had continued to violate and utilize the area. In the past 10 days, 39 new unauthorized constructions were reported, prompting a joint operation by the district administration and municipal corporation to remove the illegal encroachments.

Local authorities emphasized that encroachers had been given sufficient notice and opportunities to vacate the land. Faced with the growing number of illegal constructions, the district administration had no option but to intervene, using bulldozers to clear the area.
