Samastipur Students Dominate Quiz; Cindrella English School Bags Runner-Up in Thrilling Division Final.;

The battle of wits and sporting knowledge reached a fever pitch at the Darbhanga division round of Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025, held at the Laheriasarai Auditorium on Wednesday. After an intense contest, JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya, Samastipur’s dynamic duo—Deepankar and ZaifiJawaid, both Class 11 students—emerged as the undisputed champions, clinching the coveted top spot.
Adding to the excitement, Darbhanga’sCindrella English School made a spectacular mark, securing the runner-up positions with a stellar performance. The school’s young prodigies, Nyasha Shrivastava and Rishav Kumar from Class 7, showcased exceptional prowess to bag the second position, while their batchmates, Ruhi Kumari and Rutu Raj, demonstrated remarkable grit to finish third.
The Division Finals witnessed a fierce intellectual showdown among 13 formidable teams—comprising district champions and wild card entrants. The contest kicked off with a challenging written preliminary round, from which six high-scoring teams advanced to the on-stage finals.
The electrifying quiz was conducted by none other than Aniket Mishra, an internationally acclaimed sports writer and quiz master. With a decorated career spanning three FIFA Men’s World Cups and one FIFA Women’s World Cup, Aniket brought an unparalleled depth of knowledge and energy to the competition. A PhD from Delhi University and an accomplished author of books like Know Thy Dhoni, The IPL Quiz Book, and 125 Years of the Olympics, he is also the founder of the prestigious Barefoot Quizzing Festival, which has captivated quiz enthusiasts across India since 2012.
This thrilling event marked the first of nine Division-level finals, setting the stage for an exciting journey ahead. The next showdown will unfold in Muzaffarpur on April 3 for the Tirhut Division finals.
