All India Seminar on “Building a Greener Future: Modern Construction Practices for Sustainability” Successfully Concluded
IEI Faridabad local centre and MRIIRS collaborate to promote eco-friendly infrastructure and modern construction practices;

The Institution of Engineers (India), Faridabad Local Centre, in collaboration with Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies (MRIIRS), successfully organized a two-day All India Seminar on “Building a Greener Future: Modern Construction Practices for Sustainability” on April 8-9, 2025, at MRIIRS, Faridabad.
The seminar brought together experts, academicians, and professionals to discuss sustainable construction practices, cutting-edge technologies, and innovations promoting eco-friendly infrastructure. Er. Inderdeep Singh Oberoi, Chairman, IEI Faridabad Local Centre and Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Dimri, Honorary Secretary, IEI Faridabad Local Centre, led the coordination efforts and ensured the seminar’s success.
The inaugural session was held on April 8, 2025, with esteemed dignitaries in attendance. Dr. P.N. Ojha, Joint Director & Head - CDR, National Council for Cement and Building Materials, Faridabad, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker. The event featured four technical sessions where 60 research papers were presented, covering various aspects of sustainable construction methods, advanced materials, and environmental impact reduction strategies.
The seminar concluded with a valedictory session on April 9, 2025. In this session, key recommendations were finalized. IEI Chairman Er. Inderdeep Singh Oberoi and Honorary Secretary Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Dimri delivered concluding remarks, highlighting the significance of sustainable construction and the importance of collaboration between academia and industry.
This event served as a significant platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers, contributing to discussions on a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
