Bihar: Three-day Pravasi Samman Diwas celebrations conclude at Lakhisarai Museum

Contribution of the diaspora community was honored in the program organized by the Bihar government, various startup founders shared their experiences;

The three-day Pravasi Samman Diwas celebration organized by the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government concluded today at the Lakhisarai Museum. The celebration was held from 9 January to 11 January 2025. Many distinguished guests including Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister and MLA of Lakhisarai Assembly Constituency Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, MLA of Suryagraha Assembly Constituency Shri Prahlad Yadav, and Hon'ble High Court Judge Shri Rajiv Ranjan Prasad attended the program. The event was organized to honor the contribution of the migrant community under the guidelines of the Government of Bihar and to showcase the heritage and development of the district.

The program began with the lighting of lamps and Bihar song by the visiting guests such as Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, MLA of Suryagraha Assembly Constituency Shri Prahlad Yadav and District Magistrate Shri Mithilesh Mishra.

Today, in the closing ceremony of Pravasi Samman Diwas, the migrants of Lakhisarai district joined this program of the district administration organized at Lakhisarai Museum online and physically. Among the migrants who joined physically were Hon'ble High Court Judge Shri Rajiv Ranjan Prasad and Lakhisarai's startup founders Srishti Kumari, Anthesh Anand, Vikas Gupta and Nirmal Anand. Migrants were connected from Japan and Qatar through online medium.

In the program, the heritage of Lakhisarai district such as Railway Station Lakhisarai, Kiul Bridge, living artifacts of Lakhisarai Museum, Shaheed Dwar, Kiul River, Satsanda Mountain, Ashok Dham etc. were displayed through PPT and the history of Lakhisarai village was displayed through short video.

Four migrants benefiting from Bihar Startup Policy participated in the program and shared their experiences.

Srishti Kumari, a resident of Pokhrama, Surajgraha is providing services to the people by combining art and artificial intelligence with Kalai startup.

Nirmal Kumar is providing services in the health sector through a startup called Genie Eye.

Anthesh Anand has started a startup named Brand Medics. Vikas Kumar of Lakhisarai district has solved the problem of people learning English through his startup named English Se Aage.

All the startup founders told the beneficiaries of Bihar Udyam Yojana about the solutions to entrepreneurship-related problems and how to move forward in entrepreneurship.

Superintendent of Police Mr. Ajay Kumar, Additional Collector Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar, Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Sumit Kumar, Nodal of the program Mr. Shashi Kumar, Assistant Director Social Security Cell Ms. Neena Nancy Murmu, Director District Rural Development Agency Mr. Neeraj Kumar, District Art and Culture Officer Mr. Mrinal Ranjan, District Public Relations Officer Mr. Vinod Prasad, Special Officer Mr. Om Prakash Singh, General Manager of Industries Mr. Priyanshu Kumar and beneficiaries of Bihar Udyam Yojana were present in the program.
