An important agreement has been signed between the Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department and Jeevika on Thursday. This agreement has been made with the aim of promoting the welfare of girl students in a total of 39 Other Backward Classes Girls Residential Plus-2 High Schools run by the department. The agreement was signed by Additional Secretary Anil Kumar Thakur on behalf of the Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department and Jeevika Director (Enterprise) Vinay Kumar Rai. Secretary of Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department Manoj Kumar and Jeevika Chief Executive Officer Himanshu Sharma were present on this occasion.

The main points of the MoU include that Jeevika will provide food facilities to the girl students living in all 39 girls residential plus-2 schools through "Jeevika Didi Ki Rasoi". Apart from this, sanitation and laundry services will also be provided by Jeevika. Jeevika will also supply uniforms to the girl students in all 39 schools run by the department. This MoU will be valid for three years. Which can be extended for the next three years if the service is found satisfactory. This agreement will be applicable in all 39 schools run by the department from the financial year 2025-26.

This agreement will ensure the availability of quality and nutritious food for the girl students. Here the girl students will get a clean and healthy environment. Along with this, clean and washed clothes will also be available to them. The availability of uniforms on time will create a great environment for the educational development of the girl students. The welfare of the girl students will improve from the department and there will also be efficiency in the management of the services of Jeevika. Along with this, this effort will also improve the image of the schools run by the Backward and Extremely Backward Welfare Department. Apart from this, employment opportunities will be created for rural women through Jeevika. Which will promote the economic empowerment of women, which will make an important contribution to social development in the state.
