Actor Vikrant Massey Calls It a Career Highlight; Film Declared Tax-Free in Multiple States Amid Controversies
Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched the film 'The Sabarmati Report' in Parliament on Monday (December 2). A special screening of the film was held in the Balayogi Auditorium of Parliament. Along with PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, many ministers-MPs and actor Vikrant Massey also reached out to watch it. The Sabarmati Report was released in theaters on November 15. The runtime of the film is 2 hours 7 minutes.
After the screening, PM Modi praised the makers of the film on his X handle. He wrote - "Joined fellow NDA MPs at a screening of 'The Sabarmati Report.' I commend the makers of the film for their effort."

After watching the film with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, actor Vikrant Massey spoke to the media. Massey told ANI, "Today it was a different experience to watch the film with the Prime Minister and other cabinet ministers. I will probably not be able to describe it in words. I am very happy that I got a chance to watch the film with all of them. Watching the film with the Prime Minister is the highest point of my career."
Earlier on November 21, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath watched the film with his cabinet. Immediately after watching The Sabarmati Report, he made it tax-free in UP. Apart from this, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also watched 'The Sabarmati Report' on November 20. This film has also been made tax-free in Madhya Pradesh.
There was a lot of controversy regarding 'The Sabarmati Report'. Vikrant Massey had received many threats. Objectionable words were also spoken about his 9-month-old child. On Monday, Vikrant Massey announced to take a break from films. He said that in 2025, he will meet the audience for the last time until the time becomes favorable.
