KR Mangalam University Holds its 6th Convocation Ceremony

K.R. Mangalam University held its 6th Convocation, awarding degrees to over 565 graduates and featuring an address by Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya.

KR Mangalam University held its 6th Convocation at its lush green campus on Sohna Road, Gurugram. Governor of Haryana, Shri Bandaru Dattatraya, graced the ceremony as the chief guest and delivered an inspiring address.

The Honorable Governor emphasized the importance of dedication, discipline, devotion, and sacrifice in achieving success. He urged graduates to contribute meaningfully to the education sector and society at large. He highlighted the significance of the National Education Policy 2020 and commended the University's efforts in implementing its key elements, including innovation, technology, and research. He was particularly delighted to see a significant number of female students receiving degrees, including gold medals and Ph.Ds.

Governor Dattatraya encouraged graduates to not only seek employment but also consider becoming entrepreneurs or employers, thereby generating job opportunities for others. He also emphasized the importance of serving the underprivileged and needy citizens of the country. He stressed that character building is the most valuable asset, surpassing money, health, and fame.

A total of 565 degrees were conferred during the convocation, including:

34 Ph.D. degrees (12 male, 22 female)

136 postgraduate degrees (71 male, 65 female)

364 undergraduate degrees (207 male, 157 female)

31 diploma degrees (21 male, 10 female)

On this occasion, 21 students (2 male, 19 female) were honored with gold medals for their exceptional academic performance.

The Chancellor of the University and Vice-Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir State Higher Education Council, Padma Shri Professor Dinesh Singh, stated the University's vision extends beyond the present, aiming for "Viksit Bharat 2047," a nation thriving with knowledge, prosperity, and endless possibilities. He emphasized the significance of fostering a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking within the young university and education system.

Professor Rakesh Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor of K.R. Mangalam University, presented the annual report for the academic session 2022-2023, highlighting key activities and innovative new courses aligned with the National Education Policy.

The grand ceremony concluded with an oath-taking ceremony by all graduates, followed by the National Anthem and the academic procession.
