From checking data packs to tweaking APN settings, follow these steps if your phone shows network signal but no/weak internet

In such a situation, the use of internet in smartphones has increased, but still many users are not able to get the right internet facility even after the phone has a signal. Check data pack

It is often seen that the phone's data pack ends. In such a situation, if you are a prepaid user or a postpaid user. Once you should know whether the phone pack is active or not. If signals are not coming even after the pack is active, then some measures can be adopted.

Do these settings in the phone immediately

  • Go to the internet settings in the phone.
  • After this, go to phone information or about phone.
  • After doing this, click on the option of SIM status.
  • Along with this, definitely check whether the SIM is in the right slot or not.

It has been seen many times that the SIM is inserted in some other slot and the signal strength is going to some other slot.

Apart from this, sometimes even when the signal power is low, the internet does not work properly.

After doing this, check the capacity of the SIM, if the capacity is between 50 to 80dbm then the signal strength is good. At the same time, the signal strength is considered very good if it is between 70 to 90dbm.

After this, turn on the airplane mode in the phone once and then turn it off. After this, check the internet capacity.

Change in SIM APN settings

  • First of all go to the phone settings and click on the mobile network option.
  • After doing this, tap on the SIM which is to be checked and click on the access point name.
  • After this, reset the access point name. Here on the next page, you will get the option to change the setting.
  • After doing this, restart the phone once again and check the internet in the phone. Finally, if the internet still doesn’t work after following all these tips, then you should talk to the SIM company.
