Samsung Galaxy S25 Series: AI Revolution Set to Eclipse Apple

Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy S25 series, and insiders hint that the new flagship smartphones will boast cutting-edge AI features that could leave Apple in the dust. While details are scarce, the tech giant's top brass has been dropping subtle hints about the innovative AI capabilities that will set the Galaxy S25 series apart.

At the heart of Samsung's AI ambitions is its rumored partnership with Google's Gemini Advanced AI platform. This collaboration is expected to supercharge Samsung's Galaxy AI features, offering a significant upgrade over the previous Galaxy S24 series. Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman and CEO Jong-hee Han and DS Division Head Vice Chairman Young-hyun Jeon have expressed their commitment to making Samsung the "undisputed leader in device AI" this year.

Powering the Galaxy S25 series will be the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which promises a substantial performance boost over its predecessor. The new chipset's hexagon NPU is expected to deliver a 45% AI performance improvement and 45% better performance per watt. This will enable a range of AI-powered camera enhancements, including limitless Semantic Segmentation at 4K resolution and ultra-low-light video capture.

While some AI features introduced in One UI 7 may be available on older smartphones, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to offer unparalleled AI capabilities. Samsung has confirmed that pre-orders for the next-gen devices are now live, with the official announcement set for January 22. The Samsung Unpacked event will also unveil a new "true" AI assistant, further emphasizing Samsung's focus on AI for the Galaxy S25 series.
