Elon Musk's company SpaceX completed the sixth test flight of its spaceship on Tuesday, November 20. But there was a surprising passenger on the spacecraft. It was a banana. This ambitious launch was carried out from SpaceX's Starbase facility in South Texas. The banana was kept in a safe place on the flight.

Why was the banana sent?

This banana aroused people's interest in the SpaceX Starship. The primary role of the banana was to act as a zero-gravity indicator. There is a tradition in space flight where a small object is used to visually demonstrate when a spacecraft enters microgravity. This simple but effective method helps observers easily identify when the spacecraft reaches space.

The banana also symbolizes SpaceX's readiness to begin cargo testing. This banana was placed inside the cargo hold of the spacecraft.

During this experiment, SpaceX has also sent a cargo into space. This will help the company avoid the regulatory process of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the future.

Although the presence of a banana may seem like a minor thing, its presence in this test flight proves to be an important milestone for Starship. As SpaceX continues to develop this huge rocket system for future Moon and Mars missions, even the smallest payload is an important step towards realizing these ambitious goals.
