Shikhar Dhawan Joins Legends League Cricket Following International Retirement

Former Indian opener set to continue entertaining fans alongside other cricket legends in T20 tournament

Former Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket two days ago. But, he will be seen on the cricket field again. Dhawan has joined Legends League Cricket. He himself gave this information. Dhawan said that my body is still ready for the demands of the game. I am comfortable with my decision, cricket is an integral part of my personality and it will never leave me.

Dhawan said in a statement, "I am looking forward to reuniting with my cricket friends and continuing to entertain my fans as we create new memories together." Legends League Cricket will be organized in September. It is a T20 cricket tournament in which retired players from around the world will participate.

Dhawan holds the record for scoring the fastest century on Test debut. This left-handed batsman also holds the record for scoring the highest score by an Indian batsman on Test debut. Dhawan represented India in 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20 matches and scored a total of 12,286 international runs.

Welcoming Dhawan to the league, Raman Raheja, Co-Founder of Legends League Cricket said, "We are thrilled to have Shikhar Dhawan join us. His experience and talent will undoubtedly enhance the competition and entertain the fans. We are looking forward to seeing him in action alongside other cricket legends. This will further strengthen our position as the second innings for legendary cricketers."

Joining Legends League Cricket after retirement has been the right move for many cricket superstars, including Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill and Hashim Amla, who joined the league soon after retirement.
