Know when and against whom Team India will play;

The Indian cricket team is going to play 27 ODIs before the ODI World Cup 2027. Its schedule has been announced. The World Cup 2027 will be played in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. India recently won the Champions Trophy 2025 trophy under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. They have become the first team in the world to win the Champions Trophy 3 times. So let's take a look at their schedule.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) Future Tours Program (FTP) released India's ODI schedule ahead of the 2027 World Cup. This includes 3 ODIs against Bangladesh in August 2025 and 3 ODIs against Australia in October this year.
India will host South Africa for 3 ODIs in November and then play another 3-match series against New Zealand in January 2026. India's home series will continue with 3 ODIs against the Afghanistan cricket team in June 2026. After this, the Indian team will take on the England cricket team in July of the same year for a series of 3 more ODIs away from home. The FTP also includes a home series against the West Indies cricket team in September 2026 and then a tour of New Zealand in November 2026.
The final phase of India's ODI schedule before the start of the 2027 World Cup includes a home series against the Sri Lanka cricket team in December 2026. However, these matches are not yet finalised. It is worth noting that changes can also be made to the FTP in the next 2 years. If this happens, then there may be an impact on the preparations for the ODI World Cup 2027.
