The second online round of the national inter-school CCCC Cryptic Crossword Contest 12.0 witnessed a remarkable performance from government schools in Bihar. Participating for the first time in this prestigious competition, students from Ambedkar Residential Schools made a strong impression, securing six spots in the top 100 at the national level.

Notably, last year’s national champion, Adya Singh from Notre Dame Academy, continued her winning streak by claiming the top position in the second round. Her consistent performance underscores her exceptional skills in solving complex cryptic clues. Close behind her, Yamuna Goyal and Harshika Chawla from BCM Arya Model School, Ludhiana, secured the second position, while their schoolmates Bhargav Vinayak and Abhishek Dhanda took the third spot.

This year’s contest has also highlighted the rising talent from across India, with students from various states showcasing their cryptic crossword prowess. The state-level winners demonstrated a diverse geographical representation, with participants from Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Assam, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jammu & Kashmir making it to the top of their respective state leaderboards.
