The Bihar government has announced a series of transformative development projects for Madhubani district, focusing on infrastructure, irrigation, flood control, and tourism. These initiatives aim to address local needs while boosting the district's connectivity, economy, and cultural significance.

One of the major projects is the interlinking of the Kamla-Purani Kamla Jeevchh river with the Kamla river. This ambitious plan is expected to enhance irrigation facilities and aid in flood control across the district. Additionally, the Bideshwarsthan sub-branch canal and Ugranath branch canal of the Western Koshi canal will be strengthened and expanded to support agricultural activities.

Infrastructure development will also take a significant leap forward. A ring road will be constructed for Madhubani city, connecting Kanakpur to Jagatpur and linking it to the Pandaul bypass, ensuring smoother intra-city travel. Plans are underway for the construction of a new inter-state bus stand and a Road Over Bridge (ROB) near Jaynagar Shaheed Chowk, which will improve public transportation and reduce congestion. An industrial area spanning 500 acres will be developed near Bangama village in Laukahi block along NH-27, fostering economic growth and employment opportunities.

In an effort to boost tourism and cultural heritage, the historic site of "Phulhar Sthan," known as the first meeting place of Mother Sita and Lord Shri Ram, will be developed as a tourist destination. Furthermore, the Mithila Haat, a hub for local handicrafts, is set to undergo expansion, providing artisans with more opportunities to showcase their work.

In a bid to enhance air connectivity, the state government will urge the Central Government to include the airport in Madhubani district headquarters under the "Udaan Yojana" for small aircraft, bringing the region closer to the rest of the country.

These comprehensive initiatives reflect the government's commitment to the holistic development of Madhubani district. From boosting irrigation and flood control to fostering industrial growth and preserving cultural heritage, these projects promise to transform the district into a hub of progress and prosperity. The government has assured that any additional needs of Madhubani district will also be addressed, reaffirming its dedication to the welfare of its citizens.
