Bihar CM and Union Minister Unveil Khelo India Youth Games 2025 Logo and Mascot
'Gajsingh' Mascot and Cultural Logo Revealed as State Prepares to Host 10,000 Athletes Across Five Districts in May;

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today unveiled the official 'logo' of Khelo India Youth Games, Bihar 2025 and Union Minister of Labor and Employment and Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Mansukh Mandaviya unveiled the 'mascot' through remote in a program organized at 'Samvad' located at the Chief Minister's Secretariat. During this, the Chief Minister and the Union Minister also launched the sports song. Along with this, the torch Gaurav Yatra Rath of Khelo India Youth Games was also flagged off.
During the program, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great happiness that Khelo India Youth Games, 2025 is being organized in Bihar. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate Khelo India Youth Games, 2025 in Patna on May 4. We welcome all the players to the land of Bihar. This event is an important step towards promoting sports culture in Bihar and encouraging young talents. Through this event, the infrastructure of sports in the state will be further strengthened and the youth will get an opportunity to showcase their talent at the national level.
It is noteworthy that Khelo India Youth Games, Bihar 2025 is being organized for the first time in Bihar. From May 4 to May 15, Khel Mahakumbh will be organized in five districts of Bihar, Patna, Nalanda (Rajgir), Gaya, Bhagalpur and Begusarai. In this, 8 thousand 500 players and 1500 technical staff from all over the country for 28 sports, i.e. a total of 10 thousand people will participate. The torch Gaurav Yatra of Khelo India Youth Games will pass through 38 districts of Bihar between April 15 and May 2.
The 'logo' of Khelo India Youth Games is a symbol of Bihar's rich cultural heritage and sports spirit. Its orange and green color shows a combination of enthusiasm and nature.
The form and concept of Khelo India Youth Games 2025, Bihar's mascot 'Gajsingh' is a symbol of the historical, cultural and sports spirit of the state. The mascot is inspired by Bihar's rich archaeological heritage and is derived from the Gajsingh (elephant-lion combination) statues carved on temples and pillars in Nalanda and Bodh Gaya during the Pala period. Gajsingh, the mascot of Khelo India Youth Games 2025, Bihar is not just a symbol but a living embodiment of the spirit of a strong, courageous and intelligent sportsman. This mascot will strengthen the sports culture of the state and inspire the young players of the country to organize, discipline and advanced sportsmanship. Bihar is ready to write a new golden chapter in the sports sector of India.
The emblem of Mahabodhi Temple and Nalanda University in the design reflects respect for historical and intellectual heritage. Peepal tree, sparrow and Gangetic dolphin give the message of nature and its conservation. Madhubani painting and Chhath Puja reflect vibrant cultural identity. Valmiki Tiger Reserve is an example of biodiversity. Ashok Chakra and lion are symbols of justice, power and historical glory. This design adorned with the map of Bihar has become a powerful symbol of the state's diverse identity, cultural heritage and development of sports culture.
'Colors of sports! Bihar ke Sang!' This is not just a slogan, but a message of Bihar's sports renaissance, which shows the resolve to bring the state on the global sports map.
Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar welcomed Union Minister of Labor and Employment and Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Mansukh Mandaviya by presenting a bouquet of flowers.
In the program, Additional Chief Secretary of Sports Department Dr. B. Rajender welcomed the Chief Minister and Union Minister by presenting a symbol. A short film related to the event was screened during the program.
