The film 'Kalki 2898 AD' starring big names like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan is still running in theatres even after 40 days. Kalki, which has broken many records so far, has now broken the biggest record of Shahrukh Khan's film Jawan.
'Kalki 2898 AD' has earned a lot in India as well as worldwide. Tuesday, 6 August is the 41st day of the film in theatres. According to a report by Saccanilk, Kalki has collected Rs 28 lakhs till 7 pm on 6 August. With this, the total collection of the film in India has now become Rs 640.43 crores.
Kalki has now registered another big record in its name. It is worth noting that Kalki has broken the big record of Shahrukh Khan's blockbuster film 'Jawaan' released in 2023. Jawaan had earned a total of Rs 640.25 crore at the domestic box office. While Kalki has surpassed it and earned Rs 640.43 crore.
With a total collection of Rs 640.43 crore, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone's film Kalki has now become the fourth highest-grossing Indian film in India. Ahead of Kalki, this list includes 'Bahubali 2' (Rs 1032.42 crore), KGF 2 (Rs 859.7 crore) and RRR (Rs 782.2 crore).
While Kalki has done a total business of Rs 640.43 crore in India, beating Shahrukh Khan's Jawaan, the total collection of the film worldwide has been Rs 1034.60 crore.
It is worth noting that Kalki is the most expensive film of India till date. The makers had spent Rs 600 crore on Kalki 2898 AD, directed by director Nag Ashwin. The film has performed brilliantly at the box office as per its budget. Now the makers have started preparing for its second part. According to media reports, the budget of Kalki Part 2 will be more than Kalki 2898 AD.
