Anil Sharma Announces New Film 'Vanvas' on Dussehra, Inspired by the Ramayana in Kalyug

Featuring Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma, and Rajpal Yadav, the film promises a modern retelling of family exile

After the grand success of 'Gadar 2', director Anil Sharma is all set to make a splash with another film. He has announced his upcoming film 'Vanvas' on the special occasion of Dussehra. Along with this, the first glimpse of 'Vanvas' has also been shared on social media. Announcing this film, Anil Sharma has also wished everyone a Happy Dussehra. The special thing is that in this video posted on October 12, you will also get a preview of the story of the film. The story of the film is going to be based on the 'Ramayana' of Kalyug.

Anil Sharma made the announcement with a video, which presented the first glimpse of 'Apne Hi Apno Ko Dete Hain: Vanvas', in which some very beautiful and mind-blowing scenes are seen. The Ram Ram song is also heard in the video which is enough to take us to its divine world. He captioned the video, 'A family film for the family #Vanvas. Happy Dussehra to all of you.'

Announcing the film 'Vanvas', Anil Sharma also mentioned the names of the cast in the post, which includes Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, Khushboo Sundar and Rajpal Yadav. He is going to be seen together once again in a multi-starrer film. Talking about 'Vanvas', director Anil Sharma said, 'Ramayana and Vanvas are a different form of the same kind where children exile their parents. Kalyug's Ramayana where their people exile their own.'

Anil Sharma has directed blockbuster films like Gadar Ek Prem Katha, 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' (2001), 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy' (2003), 'Apne' (2007), and 'Gadar 2' (2023). Written, produced and directed by Anil Sharma, 'Vanvas' will be released in theaters soon. No details have been given yet.
