Russia Launches Massive Missile and Drone Assault on Ukraine, Energy Infrastructure Severely Hit
Russia has launched a fierce attack on Ukraine Today. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday condemned the attacks carried out by Russia on his country overnight and in the morning. Zelensky described Russia's attacks as "disgusting" and said that more than 100 missiles of different types and about 100 "Shahid" drones were used in it. The Ukrainian leader said that "some people have died" and many others have been injured.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has also confirmed that the Russian attack has caused "significant damage" to Ukraine's energy sector. Zelensky said, "Like Russia's previous attacks, this was also disgusting in which important civilian infrastructure was targeted. From Kharkiv and Kyiv to Odesa and our western regions were targeted."
Currently, across the country, efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strike. This is considered to be the biggest attack by Russia in the last few weeks. The attacks by Russia were aimed at targeting energy infrastructure in Ukraine. Due to Russian attacks, explosions were heard in the capital Kiev and power supply was disrupted in some areas of the city.
Meanwhile, let us also tell you here that Ukraine has attacked a 38-storey building in Saratov, Russia with a drone. The building which has been attacked is the tallest in the city. There was a stir after this attack by Ukraine. The Russian Defence Ministry has said that its air defence systems have destroyed 9 drones in the Saratov region. Flights at Saratov airport have been banned amid Ukraine's drone attacks.
