Anil Kumble was born on October 17, 1970, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. He completed his schooling at National High School Basavanagudi and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering (RVCE).
Kumble made his Test debut for India against England at Old Trafford on August 9, 1990. His debut marked the beginning of a highly successful international career.
He made his One Day International (ODI) debut on April 25, 1990, against Sri Lanka in Sharjah.
Kumble is one of only two bowlers in Test cricket history to take all ten wickets in an innings. He achieved this remarkable feat against Pakistan in 1999 in Delhi.
