Udhayanidhi Stalin was born on November 27, 1977, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the son of current Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin and the grandson of the former CM of Tamil Nadu late M. Karunanidhi, and a prominent leader of the DMK.
Udhayanidhi Stalin completed his schooling at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Egmore, Chennai. He then graduated with a degree in Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai.
Udhayanidhi began his career in the Tamil film industry as a film producer. He founded the production company Red Giant Movies in 2008.
