Bihar’s Sports Minister Unveils Indian Sepak Takraw Team Jersey Ahead of World Cup 2025

Bihar's Sports Minister Surendra Mehta unveiled the Indian team jersey in a ceremony held at Patliputra Sports Complex today in the presence of Bihar State Sports Authority Director Ravindra Nath Choudhary, Sepak Takraw Federation of India President Yogendra Singh Dahiya and the Indian Sepak Takraw team.
While greeting the people present, the Sports Minister said that hosting the Sepak Takraw World Cup is a matter of great pride for Bihar. Due to the continuous efforts of the Bihar government committed to the all-round development of sports and players in the state, today Bihar is touching new heights in the field of sports. Today the sports movement has reached every village and by selecting the talent of the village, they are being prepared as national and international level players. Organizing this World Cup in Bihar will not only boost the morale of the players of Bihar but will also strengthen the image of Bihar at the international level in the field of sports. Surendra Mehta met the players of the Indian team and encouraged them.

According to the agreement between the Sepak Takraw Federation of India and Bihar State Sports Authority, the name of Bihar will be written on the jersey of the Indian Sepak Takraw team for the next one year. This will not only help in building the image of Bihar in the field of sports at the international level but will also have a positive impact on the tourism industry.
It is worth noting that for the first time in Bihar, the Sepak Takraw World Cup is being organized from 20 to 25 March at Patna's Patliputra Sports Complex. 20 countries of the world are participating in this World Cup and more than 300 players and trainers will participate in it.
There will be an exciting Sepak Takraw match between the teams of Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Iran, Vietnam, India, Brazil, Poland, France, Nepal, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, USP, Singapore, Switzerland, Indonesia, Italy, Chinese Taipei.
A total of seven events will be organized in the game of Sepak Takraw in Regu, Doubles and Quad. It includes three women, three men and one mixed events. Being the host, India's men's and women's teams will participate in all the events. A total of 150 matches will be played from 20 to 25 March
